According to the newly released data, flight booking between the two countries has decreased more than 70 percent. According to data from Aviation Analytics Company OAG, the number of airline passengers between Canada and the US has declined by October 2025. In which the biggest cut is between the months of July and August, which is considered a peak travel season. Passenger booking on the US route from Canada has been reduced by more than 70 percent at present as compared to the same period last year.
Comparing the booking available from March 2024 to March 2025, OAG noticed how many people have booked trans-border flights in a period of six months of April to September. It was found that the number of tickets booked has reduced from 71 percent to 76 percent. The total capacity available to passengers on flights between the two countries has also decreased, which is probably due to the decreasing demand. Data shows that by the end of October, over 320,000 seats have been reduced by operating airlines between the two countries.
