New Delhi. If you play candy crush or spend more time on the Tinder app, then you must read this news. According to a report by 404 media, some of the most used mobile apps, including candy crush and tinder, are allegedly collecting their sensitive location data without the information of users. This danger is equally for both Android and iOS. According to the report, these apps can collect data through advertising ecosystems. This can create serious concerns about the user's privacy.

It is believed that this data location has reached the data broker gravy analytics, whose subsidiary Vental has earlier sold such information to the US Law Information Agency.

How to collect data?
The report shows that data collection work is done through the real-time bidding (RTB) system, where companies bid to show advertisements within the app. When these advertisements run, data brokers such as gravy analytics are allegedly able to intercept and collect location data of users without direct participation of app developers. App creators do not control this process themselves. This means that users are unaware that their location is being monitored.

Android phone and iPhone users how to protect their data?
Experts suggest that smartphone users be careful while giving location to the apps and look at the app secrecy policies carefully. Android users are advised not to give space and camera access to those apps in which work can also be done. After installing the iPhone user app to limit tracking and data collection, “Ask not to track apps”.
