New Delhi. Apple has released the iOS 18.5 update for iPhone users. With this new update, the company has also given a strict warning to users to immediately update their device to iOS 18.5. This warning has been given due to serious security flaws found in the previous version. Apple says that the iOS 18.5 update has cured several important flaws, which could allow remote attackers to take control of the device. Apple said in his safety note that one of the most worrying flaws in iOS 18.5 was found in the baseband component of iPhone 16E. The flaws could allow the attackers to intercept the network traffic. Apple says that this problem has been cured through better state management.

Another major flaws were in the call history system, where deleted calls of uninstalled apps were seen in the Spotlight Search Results, causing the risk of privacy. Apart from this, Apple also stated that it has also cured a core Bluetooth flaws, which could allow unauthorized apps to reach sensitive user data. Also, coreodio and Kormedia Bugs have also been cured, which could cause app crash through specially prepared files.

Fix the problem coming in facetime
Meanwhile, the American technology company has also corrected a serious problem in facetime – the audio transmission was not closed even when the microphone was muted during the call. In addition, the company has also corrected flaws in the iCloud document sharing system, which could enable the attackers to enable folder sharing without the permission of the user, which raised serious concerns of unauthorized data access.

But security reforms are not included in the update of iOS 18.5. This update also includes many other technical improvements and feature upgrade. The company said that an update improves the privacy of the spotlight search, allowing the deleted app data to be excluded from the search results. In the notes app, this update makes the access control more strict to prevent notes from looking at notes or call recording from the lock screen, especially in situations when the device falls in the wrong hands.
