New Delhi. Australia's wicket -keeper batsman Alex Carrie, who was unusual in the world's most popular T20 tournament Indian Premier League, has decided not to play in the Pakistan Premier League. He has withdrawn his name officially from the 10th edition of this tournament, which started from April 11. Carrie was selected by Islamabad United in place of South Africa's star Rasi Van Dere Dusen. This player will not be available in the tournament due to his domestic cricket commitment.

Express Tribune reported that Islamabad United confirmed Alex Carrie's PSL 2025 before its first match. Islamabad United launched its PSL 2025 campaign with a win against Lahore Kalandars at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. After Carrie was out, Shadab Khan -led team Van Der Dusen is expecting the return as the franchise has confirmed.

Former New Zealand captain Kane Williamson will also not be able to play in the initial matches of PSL before Carrie. Karachi Kings have chosen the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega-auction. In PSL 2025, 34 matches will be played between six teams which will be held from 11 April to 18 May. There will be 13 matches of the tournament at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, including two eliminators and finals. There will be 11 matches in Rawalpindi, with the first qualifier on 13 May. Five matches will be played in Karachi and Multan.
