New Delhi. The Indian team recovering from the defeat against Iraq will face a tough challenge of Australia in the Group H qualifier of the AFC Under-20 Football Championship here on Sunday. India had lost a 2–1 lead in half time in the initial match, causing it 2–4 defeat to Iraq.

Head coach Shanmugam Venkatesh said, 'We watched the match between Australia and Kuwait last night. Surely his team is very good. He is the top contender in the group. We have to perform our best against him.

India will depend a lot on the pair of Gurkirat Singh and Taisan Singh running in the form. Gurkirat has scored a goal and helped score another goal in the defeat against Iraq. Venkatesh said, “If we play unitedly, we can also get good results against him.”

Australia started their campaign by defeating hosts Kuwait 4–1 and topped the table with Iraq. India and Kuwait are ranked third and fourth respectively.
