Kolkata. Bengaluru FC has alleged that the Durand Cup Football Tournament (Durand Cup 2022) was made racial comments for one of his players during the match against the Indian Air Force. The top team of the Indian Super League (ISL) said that it has put this case in front of the officials concerned. This alleged incident took place in Kishore Bharti Kridangan here on Tuesday.

Bengaluru FC said in a statement here, “Bangalore FC knows that during the Durand Cup match here on Tuesday, the player of the opposing team made racial comments against one of his players.” This former champion team of ISL said, “We are in touch with the officials concerned in this regard.” Our message is clear that there is no place for discrimination and football is for everyone. ''

Bengaluru FC defeated the Indian Air Force 4–0 in this match and thus registered its second win in the Durand Cup. For Bengaluru, Roy Krishna (ninth minute), Sunil Chhetri (23rd minute), Faisal Ali (71st minute), and Shiva Shakti (93rd minute) scored goals.
