New Delhi. In an atmosphere like a war born between India and Pakistan, the players playing a cricket league returned to their country after saving their lives. In view of the security situation in Pakistan, the Bangladesh Cricket Board has said that it is discussing the next series with the Pakistan Cricket Board. On Saturday, an official statement said, “BCB wants to reiterate that the security and safety board is the top priority of its players and support staff. All decisions related to the tour will be made after careful deliberations keeping in mind the current situation in Pakistan so that they are in accordance with the best interests of the team and Bangladesh cricket.”
Breathed a sigh of relief from Pakistan
Bangladesh leg -spinner Rishad Hussain shared his experience after leaving Pakistan on Saturday. He said that he was feeling relieved by reaching Dubai after stopping Pakistan Super League (PSL) along with other foreign players. In view of the situation like war born between India and Pakistan, PCB on Friday announced to shift PSL.
Rishad quoted the cricbuj at Dubai Airport, “Foreign players like Sam Billings, Derryl Mitchell, Kushal Perera, David Weez, Tom Karan… were all very scared… On landing in Dubai, Mitchell told me that he will never go to Pakistan again, especially in such a situation. Overall, all of them were frightened.”
English cricketer cried
He also told how difficult it was to console the concerned English cricketer Tom Karan, who started crying. “He (Tom Karan) went to the airport, but heard that the airport is closed. Then he started crying like a small child, and two or three people needed to handle them,” he added.
Rishad Lahore was part of the Kalandars team and with fast bowler Nahid Rana (Peshawar Jalmi), one of the two Bangladeshi players participating in PSL 2025.
