New Delhi. After the Pahgam attacks of Jammu and Kashmir, the news of the stringent steps taken by the Board of Control for Cricket in India is coming out. It is reported that BCCI has written a letter to the International Cricket Council (ICC). It has been requested that India and Pakistan should not be kept in a group in future ICC events. The Indian team does not want to play in a group match with Pakistan. If the Indian team does not play the match with Pakistan, then the Pakistan Cricket Board will suffer a lot of loss.

According to a report by Cricbuzz, the Cricket Board of India (BCCI) no longer wants India-Pakistan match in the group stage of at least ICC event. However, both teams will participate in the ICC Women's ODI World Cup where Pakistan has qualified for the tournament of eight teams. In this, each team has to play in a round-robin format against the rest of the teams. According to an old agreement between ICC, PCB and BCCI, Pakistan's team will not play their matches in India and the host country has not yet decided on a neutral venue.

Earlier, BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla also confirmed that the board will do what the Indian government will decide. However Cricbuzz reported that BCCI officials have not commented on the matter and will not talk about it in the near future.

The ICC T20 World Cup is to be done between February and March in 2026 hosted in India and Sri Lanka. BCCI will now have to take a decision on the Asia Cup which is going to be held in India in September. However, Cricbuzz had earlier reported that the tournament would be played entirely on a neutral venue with Dubai and Sri Lanka possible sites.
