Beijing/Washington: The US has released a new report about Hong Kong, which China has been angered. The US State Ministry has recently taken strict steps about Hong Kong and Tibet. Angry with this, China has reacted strongly. The US has criticized China for ending Hong Kong's autonomy in this report. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has targeted Chinese officials for limiting the reach of American diplomats in Tibet. Along with these allegations, he announced new sanctions, which has increased tension between the two countries.
The US State Department's Hong Kong Policy Act Report 2025 states that China has completely crushed Hong Kong's autonomy. The report expressed deep concern about the 'National Security Ordinance' (SNSO) (SNSO) and 2020 National Security Act (NSL) implemented in Hong Kong. It has been told that through these laws, the Hong Kong administration has violated the rights of democracy supporters, journalists and ordinary citizens. The special thing is that for the first time the report tells the number of prisoners placed on the resignation of foreign judges and the number of prisoners placed on remand in jails.
America ban on Chinese officials
Apart from this, the report mentions arrest warrants against the six democracy supporters living abroad and a reward of more than $ 127,000 from the Hong Kong Police. Also, the action of cancellation of passports of seven other workers has been described as an example of 'international repression', some of whom live in America. America has become angry with stopping the reach of American diplomats in Tibet. The US has imposed visa ban on Chinese officials.
