New Delhi. Google has issued a warning for all Gmail users and if you are a Gmail user then you will not make the mistake of taking it lightly. This warning has been told of a new fishing champane, which crosses the safety check using the real looking email and cheats the recipients to inform their account.

Google has accepted this danger and is working on implementing security measures. Nevertheless, users have been advised to be vigilant, especially when they are responding to email coming from reliable sources like Google.

What is this scam?
The attack came to light when software developer Nick Johnson posted on X that he received an official looking email from “No-Reply@google.com”, claiming that a summons for his Google account data was issued. The email included a link that looked like a valid Google support page. In fact, this page was a fisting site hosted on Google's own platform, sites.google.com.

The thing to make this email especially reliable was that it had passed Google's authentication check, which includes domainkies identified mail (DKIM). Fishing messages were sent to the same Gmail conversation thread with the real Google Security Alert, which seemed even more reliable.

By clicking on the link, the users were taken to a clone sign-in page of Google, which was hosted on a subdoman in Google. This page was designed to assemble login credentials, so that the user could be given a chance to oppose Sabpona. If the user recorded his credentials, the attackers would have got full access to the user's Gmail and the data related to it.
