Under the captaincy of Harry Brook, England defeated the 3-match T20 series 3–0 in the final T20 match by 37 runs. Earlier, England also won the ODI series by the same margin. In the last T20 match played at Southampton, England batsmen broke down on the West Indies bowlers. Host England, while batting first, scored a big score of 248 runs at the loss of 3 wickets. After this, a century was needed from the West Indies to achieve this goal but no batsman could do so. And the guest Windies could only score 211 runs for 8 wickets.
Earlier, Jamie Smith and Ben Docket made England a quick start. Both shared a 120 -run partnership for the first wicket. Smith was dismissed for 60 runs off 26 balls. He hit 5 sixes and 4 fours. Jose Butler scored 22 runs off 10 balls, while Docket scored 84 off 46 balls which included 10 fours and 2 sixes.
