New Delhi. England fast bowler Oli Stone is on the verge of being out of the five -match Test series starting on June 20 this year against India. The 31 -year -old bowler suffered this injury during the practice session of the team in Abu Dhabi before his county team Nottinghamshahar County's domestic season started. The Indian team's England tour will run till August 4.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) quoted the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) as saying on Friday, “Stone had a lot of trouble in his right knee during the East Session of Nottinghamshar in March.” According to the ICC report, the stone is targeted to return by August.

He said, “Scan (investigation) has revealed that surgery is required, which will be at the end of this week. He will stay away from the ground for 14 weeks due to this surgery. He will then work with medical teams of both ECB and Nottinghamshar during rehabilitation.
Stone is the second fast bowler of the team in the injured list. His fellow fast bowler Mark Wood was out after injury earlier this year. Stone has taken 17 wickets in five Tests so far. He played his previous Test against Sri Lanka in August-September in 2024. So far, England's Test team has not been announced but it is very low that he played Test series.
