New Delhi: Gautam Gambhir, the head coach of the Indian cricket team, has allegedly received threatened emails, after which his security concerns have arisen. Delhi Police gave this information on Thursday. Gambhir received these threatened emails from a suspected Gmail account on 22 April. On the same day, terrorists killed 26 people in Pahalgam in Kashmir, most of which were tourists.

In a statement, we have been informed about receiving an email allegedly threatened email on an email ID associated with Gautam Gambhir, “Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) M Harsh Vardhan said. The case is being investigated.' The official said, “Gautam Gambhir is already under the protection of Delhi Police and we do not comment on specific security arrangements.”

This is not the first time Gambhir has been threatened. Earlier in 2022, he received similar threats, after which his security was tightened.
