Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is updating its two-wheeler lineup for the Indian market. After updating Activa 125, SP125, SP160, Levo, Unicorn and Shine 125, the company has launched an updated version of Shine 100 today (17 March).
The company has made changes in the engine according to the OBD2B emission norms in the 100cc commuters motorcycle. The bike now comes with new graphics and has features like Combined Breaking System. The bike will also run on E-20 petrol.
This bike is a small version of the company's popular Honda Shine 125cc. Its starting price is Rs 68,767 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is Rs 1867 more than the current model. This bike gives competition to the best -selling hero Splendor, HF Deluxe and Bajaj Platina in the country. Booking of All New Honda Shine has started.

The company has introduced it in a single variant and 5 color option: Black-Red, Black-Blue, Black-Orange, Black-Gre and Black-Green. With the OBD-2B update, now this bike is now in line with new emission norms and has become more eco-friendly product. Performance: E20 will also run on fuel with 98.98cc engine The motorcycle has a single-cylinder of 98.98cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine, which generates 7.38kw power at 7500rpm and 8.04Nm torque at 5000rpm. This gives the rider a smooth and magnificent ride. The engine for transmission is tuned with a 4-speed gearbox.
The company claims that the new fuel-injected 100cc engine is capable of giving better mileage. To make the repairing work easier, it has a fuel pump outside the engine. It also has a solanoid starter which helps to start a bike at any temperature. All New Shine E20 will also be able to run on fuel.

Hardware: 17-inch alloy wheels and drum brakes For comfort riding, the new Honda motorcycle has been provided with telescopic fork in the front and twin shork exorcover suspension in the rear. It has a 17-inch alloy wheels for riding. For braking, a combined braking system (CBS) system is provided in the front of the bike with 130mm in front and 110mm drum brake in the rear. Shine 100 has seat height 786mm, ground clearance 168mm and weight 99 kg.
Features: Analog Instrument Console and Side Stand Engine Cut-off Talking about the feature list, it has an analog instrument console, which provides an information like speedometer, odometer and fuel gauge. The bike also has a side-stand engine cut-off feature for better safety.

Honda Shine will collide with Hero's bikes Honda Shine 100 will compete with Hero MotoCorp's bikes. Hero has 4 products in this segment. HF100, HF Deluxe, Splendor+ and Splendor+ XTEC. Their price is around Rs 54,962 and Rs 75,840. Bajaj has only Platina 100 in this segment, priced at Rs 67,475. With an initial price of Rs 64,900, Honda Shine 100 sits right in the 100cc space in India in the middle of the pack.
