New Delhi. Skype is closing in May 2025 and if you are worried about the chat and data in your Skip account, then relax now. Because you can transfer your chat and data to Teams. Lose your chat and contacts, but you can easily transfer your chat. Teams Free also has many advanced features like hosting a meeting, managing calendar and working and joining them. By logging into Teams Free from your Skype account, you will appear in your chat and contact app, so that you can start from where you left.

Before 5 May 2025, Teams Free Users, Skype can call and chat with users and Skype users can do the same with Teams Free users. This means that you can stay connected with all, no matter what app they use. Skype dial pads will be available within May from May for existing paid users within the web portal and Teams Free. How to transfer your chat to teams
1. First, download Microsoft Teams. Go to Microsoft Teams website. Choose the right version for your device like Windows, Mac, Android or iOS. After downloading, open the file and follow the instructions given to install it. It takes just a few minutes.

2. Next, sign in to teams using your Skype Detail. Open the Teams app and click on “Sign in”. Enter the same users name and password that you use for Skype. If your Skype account is connected to the Microsoft account, then the team will recognize it automatically. If you do not remember your password, click on “Forget the password” and follow the steps given to reset it.

3. After logging, Teams will automatically sync your Skype chat and contacts. You do not need to transfer anything yourself. Just go to the chat section and you will see all your old conversations. If something is missed, use the search bar for special contact or message search. Sometimes, it takes a little time to sink, so if your chat is not visible immediately, then check again after a few minutes.

Now you are ready to use Teams. You can send messages, make voice and video calls and continue your conversation just like Skype. If some of your friends are still on Skype, don't worry, team and Skype users can still chat and call each other.
