Bowling coach trusts Reddy before the Test series.
New Delhi. India's bowling coach Morne Morkel wants batting all -rounder Nitish Reddy to bowl more over over his batting primary skills in the upcoming five -Test series against England as he is capable of doing a magical ball in the middle. Reddy scored a century in Boxing Day Test against Australia at Melbourne Cricket Ground last year. He is facing the challenge of Shardul Thakur to make a place in the playing XI against England, who is primarily fast bowler.
When Morkel was asked who would be selected for the Leeds Test from Reddy and 11 Tests, Sharadul Thakur, he refused to open the team management leaves. He said, 'As far as the balance of the team is concerned, we are happy with him. As a bowling unit, you need to do what is necessary for the Test match. “We have discussed a lot about how we will compete with England. But I think that we are still moving in the right direction in terms of preparation. It will be important for our players to implement their strategy well on the match day. ''
He said, “I think we have covered all aspects. But now the main thing for us is to fit, get ready for the Test match, prepare and play with our full passion. We have not played Test matches for some time. So far we have practiced only three sessions. We have to play a four -day practice match (against India A) after two days. I will be more interested in seeing how our players perform in that four -day match.
