New Delhi: India's best 123 -run innings of Jemima Rodriguez and half -centuries from opener Smriti Mandhana (51 runs) and Deepti Sharma (93 runs), India defeated South Africa by 23 runs in Colombo on Wednesday to enter the finals, in which she will face Sri Lanka.

India batted first with a 24 -year -old Rodriguez's 15 fours and a six -hit 101 ball innings and scored a huge score of 337 runs for nine wickets. Then with the help of his fast bowler Amanjot Kaur (three wickets for 59 runs) and off -spinner Deepti Sharma (two for 57 runs), South Africa was allowed to score 314 runs for seven wickets.

Annery Durkasen's 81 runs for South Africa and 67 runs of captain Cloe Cloon could not work. India ended the Roud Robin Charan with six points in four matches. Sri Lanka has four points in three matches and can score two more points by defeating South Africa on Friday.

South Africa lost three consecutive matches and got out of the final race while it is yet to play a match against Sri Lanka. Earlier, Raudriges shared 88 runs in 99 balls for the first wicket with Mandhana. After this, 122 runs were added to 115 balls with Deepti.

For South Africa, fast bowler Masabata Class, N de Kelark and spinner Nonkululululululize Mblaba took two wickets. India's opener Pritka Rawal (one) was dismissed soon after being sent for batting first. He was sent to the pavilion by de Cleark.

Harleen Dayol could not stand and India's score was 18 runs for two wickets when he was dismissed. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur lost her wicket off the ball of Annery Durkasen after scoring 28 runs.

After this Mandhana and Rodriguez handled the innings. Mandhana lost her wicket by playing a bad pool shot in Deep Midwick off Shoal Triane. Rodriguez was sent to the pavilion by the class in the 43rd over. South Africa's regular captain Laura Volwart is out of the team due to being ill, which is being captained by Triangle.
