Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal has reacted strongly to the US Commission (USCIRF) report on international religious freedom. He has rejected the report of the US Commission on religious freedom and RAW. In response to questions asked regarding the annual report of USCIRF-2025, Randhir Jaiswal said, 'We have seen the annual report of USCIRF. It is biased and inspired by politics. The frequent efforts of the USCIRF to incorrectly present different events and attack India's vibrant multicultural society reflect a deliberate agenda rather than real concern for religious freedom.
'Efforts will not be successful'
Randhir Jaiswal further said, 'India is home to 1.4 billion people, where there are followers of all religions known for mankind. However, we have no hope that Uscirf will be associated with the reality of India's pluralistic structure or accept the harmonious co-existence of its diverse communities. Such efforts to weaken India's reputation as a symbol of democracy and tolerance will not be successful. USCIRF should be designated as a unit of concern.
