The way has been cleared of Indian American astronaut Sunita Williams returning to the land for the last 9 months at the international space station. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and SpaceX have now announced that their crew-10 mission will be launched in India at 7:03 pm on Friday night (EDT) ie India at 4:30 am on Saturday. The aim of this mission is to bring back Indian-American astronaut Sunita Williams and her partner Buch Wilmor to Earth. On the other hand, NASA said that Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore are likely to leave the international space station by 19 March.
According to the news agency Reuters, the announcement came exactly 24 hours after the incident when SpaceX had to postpone the launch of the Crew-10 mission from the Canedi Space Center (Florida) due to technical reasons.
Both passengers have been caught in space for 9 months
Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore have been stranded in space for the last nine months. He went to the International Space Station (ISS) for only eight days from the Starlineer Spacecraft of Boeing, but could not return due to the technical fault in Starlineer.
When SpaceX's crew-10 mission was going to be launched in the early hours of Friday, the Ground Support Clamp arm of Falcon-9 rocket led to a technical problem, causing the mission to be stopped on the spot. NASA said that the next possible launch will be done on Saturday, but this will be possible only after technical review.
If the launch was successful, then return will be returned after March 20
If the launch was successful this time, Williams and Wilmore will leave for the Earth from the space station after March 20. A new team will also be sent to ISS through this mission, which will include NASA's Anne McClen and Nicole Aires, Japan's Jaxa agency's Takuya Onishi and Russia's Rosmos agency's Kiril Peskov.
Earlier, NASA had decided to launch the crew-10 mission two weeks ago. The reason for this is the pressure of former US President Donald Trump and SpaceX CEO Allen Musk, who demanded to bring Villmore and Williams back as soon as possible.
Protection of astronauts became priority
Even though the mission has been delayed, NASA has said that the safety of astronauts remains the top priority. There is enough resources at the international space station, so that the crew present there can continue their work safely.
After this uncertain journey of nine months, now the eyes of the whole world are on this launch, which will make it possible for Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmor.
