New York. The watches to wait for Indian astronaut Sunita Williams and her American partner Buch Wilmore, trapped at the International Space Station (ISS) for the last 9 months, are now over. Both of them will return to earth on Tuesday evening. NASA said on Sunday evening that the return of these astronauts on the Florida coast on Tuesday will be 5:57 pm (3:30 am on 19 March at 3:30 pm Indian time). Earlier this return was not expected to be before Wednesday.
NASA said that the time for this return has been decided in such a way that the ISS teams get time to complete their work and at the same time the flexibility should remain in view of the possibility of bad weather at the end of the week. NASA has said that it will broadcast live from SpaceX Crew-9 to return to Earth from the international space station. The broadcast will start from 10:45 pm on 17 March (according to America time). This time in India will be around 8:30 am on March 18.
Two more people came back with Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore
Buch Wilmore and Sunita Williams would return from another American astronaut and a Russian Cosmonott with a Russian Crew Dragon Yan, who arrived on ISS on Sunday morning. Wilmore and Williams have been on ISS since June 2023. He went to the flight before the Boeing Starelineer vehicle, but got a technical fault in it, so that he was not well for a safe return.
The crew-10 mission of NASA and SpaceX to bring them back was about to see the view on Sunday. As soon as the hatch opened, Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmer embraced all astronauts on Sunday. Pictures of this special meeting are becoming increasingly viral on social media, which people are very fond of.
All the hugs.
