Jaraka (Jordan). With the goal of Priyangka Devi, the Indian women's football team defeated Egyptian team 1-0 in the first friendly match at Prince Mohammad Stadium in Jordan on Tuesday. This was Priyangka's first goal from the Indian team. In the first half, the Indian team tried to create a Dabbaba against the world number 95 Egyptian team. Captain Ashlata Devi made a good move in the 18th minute but Anju, who captured the ball on her shot from long distance, disappointed.
2 minutes later, Manisha got a great opportunity to score but her shot was stopped by the Egyptian goalkeeper from the right end near Dalima. India kept the opposing team under pressure by continuously attacking and benefited the visiting team in the 30th minute when Priyangka gave it an edge which proved to be a decisive goal in the end.

On Manisha's cross, Dalima gave a pass to Priyangka and this young midfielder did not make any mistake in scoring a goal. The Indian team was ahead 1-0 till half time. In the second half, the Indian team created more opportunities. Indian head coach Thomas Danrabi replaced Pyari Shasha in place of Forward Renu.
Cute came close to scoring a goal in the 53rd minute but the goalkeeper thwarted his attack. Both teams made several attempts to score goals after this but did not get success. India thus registered their first win in Jordan.
The national team had to be ruled out of the Group stage of the AFC Asian Cup held in January-February under India's host as he was not able to take off the team due to Kovid-19 cases in a biologically safe atmosphere in Mumbai. This was the first match of the Indian women's team after that tournament.
