Rajasthan Royals scored a score of 205/4 in the match played in Mullampur on Saturday night. This is the biggest score of IPL on this ground. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored the highest 67 runs for RR. Ryan Parag scored 43 (unbeaten) and captain Sanju Samson scored 38 runs. In response, the Punjab Kings team was shattered under pressure and could only manage only 155 runs for 9 wickets.
Punjab captain Shreyas Iyer said after the defeat, 'I felt that we would not give more than 180-185 runs in this match. It would have been a good score. But we gave more runs than this. We could not play according to the plan. Even then it is happy that this (defeat) has happened in the beginning of the season. Iyer said, 'This is just the third match. You need a little challenge in the beginning so that you can wake up. It is a matter of pleasure that this has just happened. We will go back and work on our strategy and make a strong comeback in the next match.
