Washington: ISIS has suffered a major setback. Iraqi security forces killed Abdulla Makki Musalih al-Rufai alias Abu Khadija in an operation on Friday. Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani has announced its death, but now US President Donald Trump is taking credit for this. Abu Khadija was the commander of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. It was considered one of the most dangerous terrorists in Iraq and the world. Trump wrote on his Truth social platform, 'ISIS's fugitive leader was killed in Iraq today. Our courageous warriors discovered him continuously. His tragic life ended with another ISIS member. Operation took place in coordination with the Government of Iraqi and Kurdish Regional Government.
White House has shared a video of the air strike on Abu Khadija. With the video, it was written, 'President Trump ended the ISIS leader in an accurate attack.' The US Central Command said the US forces in collaboration with the Iraqi security forces launched an accurate aerial attack in the Al Amber province of Iraq, killing Abu Khadija and another ISIS operative. When the bodies of both were found, they had without torn suicide jackets. The Central Command further wrote, 'As the rich of ISIS's most senior decision -making body, Abu Khadija took over the responsibility of ISIS' logistics and planning globally. '
