Since 2 June 2025, some old Fire TV Stick models will close the support of streaming apps, including Netflix. This means that users of these older devices will not be able to use Netflix after that date. The affected devices include Amazon Fire TV of 2014, Fire tv Stick of 2014, and Fire Tv Stick of 2016, which come with Alexa Voice Remote.

Netflix has informed Amazon Fire TV users that it will stop the app support on some devices. According to Tom's Guide, if you have the first generation Fire TV streaming device or Fire TV Stick and its remote, then the support of the Netflix app will be stopped from June 2.
The email states, “According to our use data, you have used Netflix on the first-generation Fire TV streaming media player in the last 12 months. Netflix will shut down support for these streaming media players on June 2, 2025.”

Why are you on these days closing
NETFLIX has not yet given the official reason to shut down the app, but analysts believe that it may be due to improvement in streaming technology, especially AV1 codec, which gives better video quality in low bandwidth.
