This will be the third consecutive World Cup in which FIFA has launched a new technology to help the referee.

The 'goal line' technology was prepared for the 2014 tournament in Brazil as many referees made a lot of mistakes in 2010. Then in 2018, the video 'Review' was brought, which helped the referee to decide on the events that change the match.

In this new 'off side' system, video will be very accurate and quickly a decision compared to the supporting referee (VAR) system. However, there were no major mistakes of offside in the 2018 World Cup.
