According to IRCTC, AI technology will increase transparency in the process of ticket booking and will also ban fake booking. With this, passengers will be able to get the right information at the right time and they will be able to plan their journey easily. IRCTC has introduced these artificial intelligence (AI) -based technology especially to detect fake user accounts and inactive them. According to officials, about 3.5 crore fake IDs have been blocked in the last year due to this move.

How agents misused the system
Most agents used unauthorized IDs, who used fake profiles to manipulate ticket booking and send many regions in the system. Now the new AI and machine learning tools are helping IRCTC identify and prevent these activities, giving real travelers better.

Indeed, agents often create dozens of IRCTC profiles for the same customer using email addresses and random mobile numbers used for a short time. They are verified through OTP at the time of creating temporary email account, but after a short time they become inactive, while fake profiles remain active.

Understand this from an example, such as if a passenger needs a ticket from Delhi to Agra, then a unauthorized agent can try to book the same ticket by creating 30 separate accounts. This increases the chances of getting a confirmed seat. For hundreds of passengers doing so, the number of regiments can overload the system, so that the seat booking of those people who are trying for their tikat only.
