New Delhi. The BCCI is angry with the stampede outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday in celebration of Royal Challengers Bangalore's IPL victory. The board blamed the lapse for this, while the RCB team management said that the sentiments of the cricket lovers should be sympathetic. The administration could not control the crowd of RCB fans to join the Victory Parade, in which 11 people lost their lives.

After RCB's 18 -year waiting, winning the first IPL title was a festive atmosphere in the city which turned into gum today. About two lakh fans were gathered outside the stadium, which the police could not control. This caused chaos and 11 fans died while more than 30 were injured.

BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia told PTI, “This is quite unfortunate. This is a negative aspect of popularity. People are crazy for their cricketers. The organizers should have planned better. My senses towards the families of the deceased. I wish the injured to recover early. To organize this level of victory, enough precautions should have been taken and security measures were to be taken into account. Somewhere there has been a lapse somewhere.

He said, “After such a spectacular end of the IPL, it dissolved in color. Earlier, the IPL victory has been celebrated as if KKR won last year in Kolkata but nothing happened there.

He gave the example of the celebration in Mumbai after winning India's T20 World Cup last year. He said, “When we won the T20 World Cup, people gathered in Mumbai, but nothing like this happened. The police and the local administration together got it smoothly. Hopefully something is not unpleasant. ''

Saikia said, “There were 120000 spectators at the stadium during the IPL final in Ahmedabad yesterday, but the BCCI team along with the local district administration and police had ensured the safety of the audience.”
