Moscow/Kyiv: There is no ceasefire in Russia and Ukraine. Despite all the efforts of US President Donald Trump, the two countries on Wednesday claimed an attack on each other. Meanwhile, Trump will talk to Ukrainian President Volodimir Jailonsky on Wednesday. Jailonsky said on Wednesday that he would get more information about the recent phone conversation of Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Jailonsky made this statement in Helsinki along with Finland President Alexander Stabb. He said, “Today I will have a conversation with Trump and we will discuss further steps.”

Earlier, the phone was discussed between Trump and Putin on Tuesday. According to reports, in this talk, Putin rejected the proposal of a 30 -day full ceasefire. However, he agreed to stop the attack on Ukrainian energy structure. Jailonsky accepted this proposal but condemned Russia for refusing a full ceasefire. On Wednesday, Jailonsky said that there is a difference between Putin's statement and his army's action.

Different claims of Russia and Ukraine

Jailonsky said that on Tuesday night, Russia carried out more than 150 drone attacks, in which many energy centers were targeted. Jailonsky said, “Putin had said that he would stop the attack, but the next day he targeted our energy infrastructure.” Russia also accused Ukraine of attack. Moscow claims that Ukraine attacked an oil pumping station in southern Russia. While Ukraine said that Russia targeted hospitals and railways and cut off electricity in many places.

'America takes the responsibility of monitoring'

During a press conference in Finland, Jailonsky said that if Russia actually stops attacks, Ukraine will not retaliate. He also said that America should take responsibility for monitoring any ceasefire.

Kremlin, however, claimed that he had stopped attacking Ukraine's energy structure. Russia also said that it killed seven drones sent to Ukraine. Kremlin spokesman Dimitri Peskov said that Putin and Trump understand each other well and both are committed to improving Russia-America relations.
