Kochi. Midfielder Indumati kathirasan (Indumathi Kathiresan) had to struggle a lot in a mutual dialogue in the field due to the language in the initial days with the Indian women's team. Indumati believes that this will be important for this success in the upcoming AFC Asian Cup. India will host this continental tournament in three sites in Maharashtra from 20 January to 6 February. According to the All India Football Federation (AIFF), Indumati said, “When you play on midfield, mutual dialogue on the field is very important.”

He said, 'People make a mistake by telling the omission of others. When the partner of my team sees in my eyes on the field, they should know that if they make a mistake then I will help them. When I see in their eyes, they should do the same. Recalling that the daily laborer's daughter, Indumati, recalled the national team's trials to the trial camp for a month, saying that she could not communicate properly with any partner of her team due to the language.

He said, 'I was one of the 50 girls for the national team trial but I was alone from Tamil Nadu. No girl used to speak Tamil and I could neither speak Hindi nor English. So I could not communicate with anyone. It is difficult to do so for a month. Sometimes I used to call my mother and cry and she would ask me to come back but I knew that I could not do it. I could not understand what other players would say, I would just smile and shaking my head.

Indumati said, 'I had to change a lot. All the coaches told me that I need to talk to other players because football is a game in which dialogue is necessary. So I started learning and now I can do it. Tamil Nadu Police Sub Inspector Indumati never thought that she would one day play for the Indian team in a tournament like AFC Women's Asian Cup.
