Meanwhile, NASA's Indian -origin Astronaut Sunita Williams's cousin Falguni Pandya spoke openly about the astronaut's association with the Indian roots.

In a conversation with News18, Phalguni Pandya told how Sunita Williams took Ganesh ji's statue with her at the ISS i.e. International Space Station and kept her with her during her entire stay. Sunita Williams spent more than nine months at the International Space Station i.e. International Space Station. Now she has returned to Earth along with fellow astronaut Buch Wilmore and two other crew members.

In an interview on News18 in New Jersey, Pandya expressed happiness over the return of his cousin Sunita Williams. He said that the family has planned special prayers and havan in the temple on his return.

Sister Phalguni Pandya is very happy with the return of Sunita Williams. Falguni Pandya said, 'We are eagerly waiting for her to come back. We have planned a special prayer and havan in the temple to celebrate. He also told that Sunita Williams had shared a picture of Ganesh statue floating in space on ISS. Pandya told about the love of Sunita Williams towards Indian food and said that he has a plan to come to India after returning to Earth. He said, 'Sunita likes Indian food a lot, we will come to India again after her return.'

Sunita's cousin Phalguni Pandya said, 'We met Modi ji in 2007, when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. After that Sunita and her father met PM Modi in America. Sunita loves Indian food. We will come to India again. She is the daughter of Gujarat. People are celebrating their ancestors in Jhulasan village Jhulasan. His father always used to tell stories about his journey from Gujarat to America.

Pandya further said, 'When I came to India for Kumbh Mela, Sunita was very keen to know every little thing related to Kumbh Mela. When I showed them pictures of Kumbh Mela, they sent me a picture of Kumbh Mela from space. She was a memorable picture of the Kumbh Mela. Sunita always believes in youth empowerment. Last week, I spoke to him. She was very happy that after 9 months she is returning to the earth. We have planned to meet in the next few days. After landing on earth, she will go to rehab, where we will meet them.
