The US court has given a tough verdict against the Donald Trump administration. The court has ordered six federal agencies to restore thousands of employees fired from the job on the basis of 'poor performance'. This order of the court is being considered a major setback for President Trump and his close Alan Musk.
Federal Judge William Alsup on Thursday instructed the Treasury, Veterans Affairs, Agriculture, Defense, Energy and Interior Department to re -appoint all employees who were removed from 'unfair manner', while delivering a historic verdict. The court found that these employees were trimmed by making an excuse for 'poor performance', while the real objective was to cut out in government jobs on a large scale.
'Employees removed on the basis of lies'
Judge Alsup said during the hearing on the matter, “It is very sad that the government is making a false claims by taking out good employees that it was done on the basis of demonstration, while in reality it was completely wrong.”
In fact, unions of federal employees challenged this decision of the Trump administration in the court. The petition said that the administration arbitrarily removed the employees and the legal process was not followed. Accepting this argument, the court held the government's move illegal and ordered the restoration of employees with immediate effect.
Significantly, after returning to the White House in January, Donald Trump formed DOGE to cut government expenses. Trump gave this to his specialist Alan Musk, who decided to expel thousands of federal employees. His move was very criticized and now this decision of the court is being considered a major setback for his government reform agenda.
