Tel Aviv: Israel has once again attacked Gaza. On Tuesday morning, Israel carried out airstrikes on Gaza, in which there are reports of more than 400 people being killed. After this attack, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has given a big statement. Netanyahu said that the attack on Tuesday in Gaza is 'just start' and all the conversations related to the release of the hostages in the future with Hamas will be amid firing. The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas went on for about two months, but it broke after the attack on Gaza.
Netanyahu's record statement was already run on the Israeli national channel. Netanyahu reiterated that Israel would continue to attack until he achieves all his goals related to war, including to completely eliminate Hamas and free all the hostages. He said, “It has been proved from the hostages released earlier by Hamas that military pressure is an essential condition to free them.” Netanyahu said that this military campaign was started on the recommendation of Israeli intelligence agencies and IDF. There was an attempt to persuade Hamas to release more hostages, but no results came out, due to which this was the last solution.
Israel can make a ground attack
Netanyahu said that Hamas still rejected the proposal to release 59 people after the first phase of the hostage release was over. Of these, 24 are expected to be alive. Currently Israel is only carrying out aerial attack, but Channel 12 quoted sources as saying that the officials are considering the option of ground attack again in Gaza. According to the news outlet, Israeli officials said that if Hamas was not ready for talks in the next few days, then this operation will become even faster.
What did Hamas say?
Netanyahu said that Israel extended the ceasefire for several weeks, during which we did not get hostage. He further said that the teams who interacted were sent to Qatar and Egypt, but did not benefit from it. The Israeli talks team has returned from Egypt on Monday. Hamas spokesperson said that he is still in touch with the mediators and is interested in fulfilling the original agreement. Hamas insisted that he would not accept any proposal that is removed from the terms of the original ceasefire agreement. Earlier this month, the ceasefire was to go to the second phase. In the second phase, Israel was to completely move from the Gaza Strip and agree to permanently eliminate the war in exchange for the rest of the living hostages.
