New Delhi. Technology is now becoming stronger to prevent natural disasters like earthquakes. Google is going to take a new step in this direction. The company is now preparing to give earthquake alert through smartwatch. This alert will be given in Wear OS based smartwatch, so that users will get a warning of earthquake in time. This feature is already present in Android smartphones. No official announcement has been made regarding the availability of this feature in India. However, it is expected that as soon as this update for Wear OS devices comes, it will expand in other countries including India.
How does this feature work?
Google's earthquake alert system is based on very smart technology. Seismator ie seismic sensors are usually used to detect earthquakes, but Google has used the motion sensor present in smartphones for this. When many Android smartphones in the same area feel vibrant together, this signal reaches the server of Google. Then this server immediately processes that data and decides whether the earthquake has actually occurred or not. If the earthquake is confirmed, alert is sent to all concerned users.
According to a report by Android Authority, Google is now preparing to bring this system to Wear OS. That is, Android Smartwatch users will also get real-time alert of earthquake. However, no official information has been given about how this alert will be like and what kind of notification will be seen.
Information about epiccenter will also be available
The special thing about this system is that it not only warns the earthquake, but also gives information about the epicenter of the earthquake to the users. However, Google has not clarified how many seconds before the earthquake.
