It is written in our scriptures, whenever the difficulty comes, read the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. They show you the way. Big scholars have adopted this mantra. Now American National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard has said the same thing. In a conversation with ANI, Tulsi Gabbard said, “Whether it is to serve in war in various parts of the world or the challenges that are present in front of us, it is only the teachings given by Lord Krishna to Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita, which I resort in my best and most of the time…”
When Tulsi Gabbard became the first Hindu US Congress member in 2013, he was sworn in by putting his hand on the Bhagavad Gita in the US House of Representatives. Tulsi Gabbard is a devotee of Lord Krishna and he has mentioned the Bhagavad Gita many times as his spiritual inspiration.
When Patel said in a meeting-Jai Shri Krishna
American leaders have a tradition to express respect and reverence for Bhagavad Gita and Shri Krishna. Earlier, Indian-origin American lawyer Kashyap 'Kashp' Patel, who was made the FBI director, had made his parents 'Jai Shri Krishna' during the hearing in the American Sadan. He said, “I would like to welcome my father Pramod and his mother Anjana, who are sitting here today. They have come here from India. My sister Nisha is also here. She too has come from across the ocean to live with me. It is a big thing for me to be here. Jai Shri Krishna.”
When American MP took oath by keeping Bhagwat Geeta in his hand
Indian -origin US Congress member Suhas Subramaniam was sworn in during the swearing -in ceremony with his hand on the Bhagavad Gita. His mother expressed pride in this, saying that he maintained the tradition of Tulsi Gabbard, who took oath in the US Representative Assembly for the first time by putting his hand on the Bhagavad Gita. Such Indian -origin US Congress member Raja Krishnamurthy had read a verse of Bhagavad Gita in the US Parliament. He read this verse during the bipartisan inter-religious prayer meeting, in which he was representing Hinduism.
