
Swedish car maker Volvo Cars India has launched the facelift of its flagship SUV Volvo XC90 in the Indian market today (4 March). The company was revealed to the second generation model in the global market in September last year. It is introduced with cosmetic changes.
The price of 2025 Volvo XC90 (ex-showroom, PAN-India) is priced at Rs 1.03 crore, which is Rs 2 lakh more than the current model. It is available in the same feature-loaded variant. It will compete with Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5, Audi Q7 and Lexus RX in the segment.
The SUV at the global level comes with a 48 volt mild hybrid technology and plug-in hybrid technology option with a 2-liter turbo petrol engine. In India, it has been introduced with a mild hybrid engine. Volvo XC90 was first launched in 2014.


Exterior: 21 inch dual-tone alloy wheels with new design grill The overall design of the new Volvo XC90 is similar to the current model. It has a new design grill with a chrome element. On either side of it is more modern Thor Hammer Shaped LED DRL’s with sleek LED headlight. Its front bumper is also re-designed, which gives the SUV an aggressive look.
The side profile features traditional pull-type door handles, body colored outside rearview mirrors (ORVM’s) and Silver Roof Rails. The car has a 21-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. In the rear, the new design bumper is positioned in the chrome strip horizontal layout, as well as the new design LED tail elements.

Interior: 12.3-inch driver display and 11.2-inch freestanding touchscreen The cabin of the facelift Volvo XC90 is a 7-seater like the current model. It has a 3-spoke steering wheel, dual-tone theme and leather seat upholstery. Sustainable material has been used inside the XC90 facelift. There are 3 color options found in the theme of cabin. This includes charcoal, cardamom and blonde color.
Like the current XC90, the facelift version is also feature loaded. The SUV will get features such as 12.3-inch driver display, 11.2-inch freestanding touchscreen and 19-speaker Bovers and Wilkin Audio System. It has features like colored headup displays, ventilation and massage functions with poverty seats, panorrhea sunroof, second and 4-zone auto AC with AC vents for third row passengers.

Safety feature: 360-degree camera and level-2 adas For safety, many airbags, 360-degree cameras, hill decent control and electronic parking brakes can be given in the car. Apart from this, Level-2 Advance Driver Assistance System (ADAS) can also be given in the car, in which lane can be assist and cruise control can be found. The 2025 Volvo XC90 can be given front, rear and side parking sensors with a park assist function.
