New Delhi. Today (5 May), in 1990, Wasim Akram took the second hat -trick in his brilliant career. 35 years ago, he took his second hat -trick in the ODI international match. This great Pakistan fast bowler took three wickets on three consecutive balls in the final of the 1990 Austral-Asia Cup in Sharjah and made the team champion. Wasim demolished the Australian batsmen with his brilliant in-swinging yoors.
While defending the target of 230 runs, Wasim performed his best bowling in the last session of the innings. He dismissed the batsmen of the Australian team by making the ball reverse swing in the air. The fast bowler ensured Pakistan's victory by 36 runs by dismissing Australia's Marve Hughes, Carl Rackman and Terry Alderman in the 46th over.
Australia's Mark Taylor and Steve Waugh scored a half -century. But Pakistan bowled the attacking bowling for just 230 runs, in which Wasim took the last wickets.
