New Delhi. Popular messaging app Whatsapp suddenly went down on Friday night, causing problems in sending messages to thousands of users. According to the portal Down Detector who tracks outage, more than 4,400 users lodged a complaint of Whatsapp Down by 9 pm. According to Downdetector's data, in the last 30 minutes more than 22,000 users reported to have problems in the service of WhatsApp.

54% of users had trouble sending messages. 37% of the users suffered a server connection problem. 10% of the users complained about the problem related to the app. META, which is the parent company of Whatsapp, has not yet made any official statement on this outage. However, this is not the first time whatsapp service has been interrupted.

Like every time, this time too, users reached social media as soon as Whatsapp Down was. Thousands of people shared mimes and posts on X (first Twitter) and other platforms. Some users also moved to social media to check whether the problem is only in their phone or everyone is facing it. In a few minutes, #Whatsappdown started trending in India. Many users took a pinch and said that “Everybody comes to X as soon as Whatsapp is down!”

When whatsapp was stalled for 6 hours
Whatsapp users will also remember the day of October 4, 2021 when the app was completely closed for more than 6 hours. During that time, the service of Facebook and Instagram was also down. Then the message of “5xx Server Error” was seen on Whatsapp Web and Instagram. This outage was done globally, affecting millions of users.
