New Delhi. Whatsapp is working on a new feature, so that users will be able to share motion photos in chats, groups and channels. This feature is currently being developed and it has been seen by Wabetainfo in the latest Android beta version 2.25.8.12 of Whatsapp. If you do not know, then tell that the motion photo captures a few moments before and after taking a static image, which makes the experience of media sharing better.
Let us tell you that motion photos are already available on devices like Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel and Apple iPhones. It adds a small video clip with a static image. On iOS, it is called live photos and Whatsapp already supports it on the Apple device. The new feature will allow Android users to share motion photos in the same way.
New button in gallery sheet
With the update, the users will see a new button in the gallery sheet, which will give them an option to send a static photo or motion photo version. When shared, the message will be able to see it in an animated form, even if there is no support of motion photo in their device.
Release date
This feature is currently in the development phase and is not yet available for beta testers. WhatsApp has not announced its release date, but when it is ready, it will work in personal chats, groups and channels. For information about real-time update and extra WhatsApp features, users can follow the beta development of the app through Google Play Beta Program. This feature will be rolled out for more beta users in the coming weeks and with future updates it is likely to reach all users.
